NO RIDER OR HORSE MAY REPRESENT MORE THAN ONE AFFILIATED CLUB IN OFFICIAL COMPETITIONS DURING THE OFFICIAL COMPETITION YEAR

All competitions are entered by the SWDRC Team Managers only.

Riders who have competed in a CI or CIO held under FEI rules since 1st January, 5 years prior the Championships are ineligible for these competitions.

We are part of Area 8 which comprises other Riding Clubs in the Essex area. There are a few inter-club “friendly” competitions held during the year, which the team managers will be able to advise you of

NEW GUIDELINES FOR CLUB REPRESENTATION FOR 2008

Any members riding only as an individual at team events are also considered to be SWDRC ‘Team Members’.

All Team Members are required to pay team contributions towards the entry fees and any stabling required. Any contributions not collected prior to or on the date of the event will be invoiced by the club. Failure to pay team contributions will disqualify members from representing the club at any future events.

All Team Members must be active members of the club. They should have competed or helped at two or more SWDRC events within the year prior to the team event. (Allowances will be made for new members to the club.)

Where team selection trials are held potential Team Members will be expected to attend if possible. These will, where feasible, be run in conjunction with pre-existing SWDRC events.

Any Team Member pulling out of a team within 10 days of the competition will still be required to pay their team contribution unless they produce a doctor’s/vet’s certificate or their team place is filled.

Every horse/pony competing on a ‘Qualifier’ team must have a valid flu vaccination certificate that complies 100% with BRC rules (please see reverse of page). The original flu vac must be brought to the competition for checking and any horse/pony not presenting a flu vac or found to have an invalid certificate will be disqualified and not allowed to compete.

Please note that flu certificates checked by vets do not necessarily comply with BRC rules. However the club’s Team Managers are happy to check flu vacs prior to competitions.

Any Team Member attending a qualifier event without their flu vac or with an invalid flu vac will be putting their team at a distinct disadvantage in the competition or even eliminating them. They may therefore be requested by the club to pay their entire team’s team contributions not just their own. If you are not 100% sure about your horse/pony’s flu vac please get it checked by a Team Manager.

Any disorderly conduct or unacceptable behaviour by Team Members may exclude those members concerned from representing the club at future events.

Please be advised that currently TEAM contributions per rider, per team for events are likely to be as follows:

Dressage - £10
Show Jumping - £10
Cross Country - £15
Horse Trials - £35

Individual entries may differ from the above.

The Team Manager’s decision is final and they reserve the right to alter these guidelines without prior notification.
