Trumpington Hunter Trial
Venue : Trumpington Hall

The SWDRC has four x-country competitions in 2006 with each course being quite unique to its geographical location.

A points system operates throughout the year with a points trophy being awarded at the AGM to the junior and senior SWDRC member and horse/pony combination with the most points at the end of the season. Points are only awarded once membership has been paid.

SWDRC x-country points are allocated as follows:

Individual classes:
1st - 6pts, 2nd - 5pts, 3rd - 4pts, 4th - 3pts, 5th - 2pts, 6th - 1pt

Pairs classes (for each member of the pair):
1st - 3pts, 2nd - 2½ pts, 3rd - 2pts, 4th - 1½pts, 5th - 1pt, 6th - ½pt

EVENT NEWS

The Trumpington Hunter Trial on Easter Monday was very successful. Due to the very high number of pre-event entries we had to restrict entries to members only on the day.

The weather held with only one very light shower and the going was absolutely excellent over the whole course.

The SWDRC apologise for the results not being posted on the day, but please find full results by clicking the results link on the right. IT APPEARS THAT SEVERAL COMPETITORS WHO WERE ENTERED IN BOTH THE PONY AND HORSE CLASSES ON SEPERATE ANIMALS WORE THE WRONG CORRESPONDING NUMBERS WHEN COMPETING ROUND THE COURSE, AND THIS HAS CAUSED HUGE PROBLEMS WITH THE SCORING - PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS IMPERATIVE AT ANY EVENT THAT YOU WEAR THE CORRESPONDING NUMBER THAT HAS BEEN ALLOCATED BY THE ORGANISERS TO YOUR HORSE.
