Please note: any members wishing to compete in either pairs or dressage to music are responsible for all their own choreography and/or music. The club does not have the resources to assist members with this aspect of the competition. Candidates for the dressage to music competitions must be paid up music members of British Dressage and must complete all the necessary PPL paperwork for their routine themselves.
It is imperative that all horses picked for these teams have 100% valid original flu vaccination certificates. They will not be allowed to compete without it. Please check the rules in the front of the omnibus schedule or on the website for details.
A horse may only compete from 1 January in the calendar year that it becomes 4 years old.
BRC down-grading system: for every full year that a horse with points or winning remains unregistered with the relevant discipline the following, Dressage -12 points & Horse Trials -3 points may be deducted for the purposes of calculating eligibility for official BRC competitions (except the Senior Novice Dressage teams). If a horse is re-registered with the relevant discipline, all previous points/winnings gained prior to the horse being un-registered, will be reactivated.
Preliminary entries for these teams are due in two weeks time, after which no further entries can be made. If you wish to be considered for any of the above teams, please do not delay in sending your recent form and current horse & rider CV to Lindsey Rusack either by email lindsey@acestudytours.co.uk or by snail mail to High Beeches, Royston Road, Wendens Ambo, Saffron Walden CB11 4LN or call her on 01799542081 Evenings only for a chat. Applications for consideration should reach Lindsey by Tuesday 29th May. Please ignore this email if you have already made contact or been contacted by Lindsey.
Potential team members should be aware of the following:
• All members picked to ride on the teams at the qualifier will be expected to compete at the Championships at Lincoln, 7/8th September should they or their team qualify
• Each team member will be required to pay a contribution of up to £5 towards their team’s entry fees (this should be paid prior to the competition as a token of their commitment to the club)
• Team members must make their own transport arrangements to the competition
• Each club may be required to provide stewards to help run the qualifier competition – team members will be expected to help where possible or nominate a helper if they know of one, should this be the case.
Best regards
Lindsey Rusack
